After graduating from KU's architecture program in 1992, Lance began his career at a structural engineering firm before joining his first architecture firm. For the past 25 years he has honed his skills on a variety of projects, and is known for his expertise in planning, code compliance and project management.

Andrea began her career in 1997 as a reporter for the Topeka Capital-Journal. In 2005 Andrea began providing marketing support for multiple divisions of a Lawrence architecture firm. Since then she has also provided proposal development, marketing and grant-writing services for organizations ranging from youth non-profits to international engineering firms.

Adams Architects was established in 2015 based on a single concept: integrity. Owners Andrea Albright and Lance Adams firmly believe that the best outcomes are achieved through high-quality design that is developed with honesty and dedication. We understand that our success is based solely on your success.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the architecture and engineering field, Adams Architects has cultivated a breadth of public and private experience that includes industrial, student housing, academic, detention, historic renovation, office, retail and performing arts projects.
All of our projects are approached with an eye for performance, buildability and code compliance. We have all witnessed the financial and schedule domino effect that can occur when beautiful design is plagued by mistakes made early in the process.
Unlike many firms, our experience isn’t limited to concepts and drawings. Our experience has included real-life application of design, which eliminates the divide between design and construction teams.
